Hi... it's been a while since I was around, but I wanted to share some thoughts. I was helping a friend explore 30vs60.com to see how 30FPS and 60FPS gameplay feel. Most PC games run smoothly at 60FPS with good settings, and it was noticeably better than console experiences when I first started. I've also noticed that 60FPS videos and gifs look much sharper than when playing at lower framerates. I usually enable V-Sync in almost every game, unless it causes noticeable lag with the mouse. In-game FPS numbers for supported games typically sit between 55 and 60. For those that don't support it, even Fraps shows the same issue. The latest drivers might be the reason I'm starting to worry.

Maintain a steady level above 60. If it falls below, the same frame will repeat multiple times.

The 60 fps mark isn't the maximum—it's merely another figure most people consider adequate. If it bothers you, you can always increase it. 144hz displays are available for a reason.

Ensure your display supports a minimum refresh rate of 60Hz and is actively operating.

Interpret frame rate differently. At 120 fps for half a second and zero for the other half, it would feel slow even though the average is 60 fps. Or there might be a misunderstanding. Let me know if you'd like clarification.

Turn on triple buffering if available or adjust it via the Nvidia control panel. Windows borderless can handle this automatically while Vsync runs. If the game still feels choppy, many titles run smoothly without Vsync—Shadows of Mordor is a good example. Even with slight dips around 60, it can feel very fluid. If performance remains poor, you might be using a Ubisoft title or pushing GPU settings too high. A 750TI won’t consistently hit stable 60 unless you tweak console graphics settings. For a consistent 60 or unlocked smoothness, lower overall settings and avoid dropping below 60 or turning off Vsync. The positive side is your PC is generally strong for gaming, with the exception of the GPU. A 750TI sits between a PS4 and an XB1, offering better performance than a PS4 in CPU-intensive games. A GTX 970/ R9 290 is roughly three to four times more capable, while a 750TI suits compact systems like certain Dell models where you can’t upgrade to a larger power supply. On a desktop, the cheapest card I’d previously consider would be a R9 270, whereas today’s options like the R9 280 offer similar power.

I believe the difference comes from what you anticipate and your familiarity. Used to seeing games run at about 60 frames per second, I find that smooth pace normal. But when watching gameplay videos online at 60fps on YouTube, it feels very fluid because I'm not accustomed to that speed.

It seems the experience of controlling the game at 60 FPS feels less fluid compared to watching a video at the same frame rate. This observation also came up when I began recording gameplay for personal use.
