I'm running an Athlon X4 870k processor with a GT 1030 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. When I utilize all cores, my frame rate decreases significantly; however, enabling two cores per processor improves game performance. Additionally, I recently upgraded from an A6-7400k to the Athlon X4 870k. My GPU is only reaching a maximum usage of 41%.

It's possible your power supply unit may not provide sufficient wattage for all of your processor cores. If this is the situation, you should consider replacing your PSU.
