i chose to boost my gpu using the sapphire trixx software. my current clock speed is 1070 and memory is 1550 (by the way, i didn’t adjust the memory clock at all).

here’s my build information:
- intel core i5 3350p oc @ 3.5 ghz
- asrock z75 pro3
- stock cooler (installing gyper 212 tomorrow)
- sapphire r9 280x vapor-x 3gb oc. it has 2 fans, not 3
- 8gb corsair vengance 1600mhz
- 2x500gb wd blue hdds
- 1tb wd blue hdd
- samsung 840 evo 128gb
- corsair cx 750m psu

i used the trixx software for overclocking, which is the only program i’ve ever tried. i ran the unigine valley benchmark. initially, my speed went from 1070 to 1100, stayed stable, and achieved around 1950 points. later, when i increased it to 1200, the screen went black and a driver crash message appeared. since the program remained open but not accessible via mouse, i closed it and reset the clock speed. i then tried running it at stock speed, but fps dropped by at least 20 points, likely more. my average fps was 50-53 on the first three scenes, then dropped to 27-30 with no changes. i attempted to reach 1100 again, but it didn’t improve. what happened?

nvm boys (or girls), after restarting the machine, it appears everything is functioning normally again.

If it continues to behave erratically, reinstall the drivers.
