You're mistaken. The ongoing physics problems persist because Fallout 4 isn't fully implemented yet, and the Skyrim update hasn't been completed.
I'm not familiar with 144fps, but I play at 75 fps and can confidently say it's okay (I've logged over 100 hours of gameplay).
As mentioned, 75 is acceptable. Around 80 to 90 would be ideal.
They're not entirely mistaken about the situation. It seems they're dismissing the idea that the update was delayed. The game actually got the engine upgrade first, likely as a test project, giving Bethesda hands-on experience before moving on to Fallout 4. They might have thought Bethesda was careless by skipping it until version 1.3, but that patch was included.
So yeah, I understand, keeping the refresh rate stable works okay. But increasing it too much causes serious issues. Clearly, going higher isn’t helpful at all. I just checked on my 144Hz monitor. I unlocked the frame rate and jumping to 180-200+ makes a massive boost. That completely nullifies the physics frame limit. So we were both right and wrong in our thinking.
