So I switched my motherboard to the AsRock X570 Steel Legend and kept the same RAM setup I already had. The issue is that after all slots are seated, the system won’t boot and the RAM indicator lights up on the post status checker only when I insert the 4th RAM stick. With sticks 1, 2, and 3 it works perfectly. I’ve tried different combinations and permutations between sticks and slots, but it always fails when the 4th stick is added, regardless of which one or in which slot. I even remounted the CPU just to rule out problems, but the problem persists. I know the BIOS is up to date and cleared it a few times, but I’m still unsure what else might be missing. P.S. This reminds me of my old X570 Steel Legend—same issue with more than 2 sticks, no matter which one I use.
It's two sets of these Trident Z Neo F4-4000C16D-32GTZN. It managed to start on its own without any changes. I was getting annoyed by constantly switching cables, so I reset the whole setup with all four sticks and took a shower. After about ten minutes, I heard Windows boot up and everything seemed fine—all 64GB were detected. When I tried to restart again, it worked immediately without any problems. My thought is that the first time the system initialized with all slots filled would take a very long time.
