Hello everyone.

I’d like to inquire whether this framerate is typical for my computer's specifications or if I should consider upgrading.

Specs:
Q9550 3.4 GHz
4 x 2GB 800 MHz
Gigabyte EP43 DS3R
GTX 650 1GB

My display resolution is 1024 x 768, with all graphics settings set to low except for distance rendering.

What steps can I take to maintain smoother performance?

Your current setup is essentially outdated, and an i5 system would represent an improvement, although it's still several years old.

Using that specification, you’ll likely experience hesitation.

What should I do?

Would it be preferable to upgrade to an AM4 platform with a Ryzen 3 processor and dual-channel RAM?

Could I then achieve 60 frames per second at a resolution of 1024x768 without any stuttering?

Alternatively, I could consider a used i5-3340 paired with either a GTX 950 or an RX 460.

Your current setup is essentially outdated, and an i5 system would represent an improvement, although it’s still roughly six years old.
