I've got a PC with only a handful of applications installed: Google Drive, One Drive Dropbox, Acronis True Image, some antivirus software, and disk health utilities. Windows 10 is running, and one of the folders now has its icon changed to look like this. I’m not sure what triggered it or why it appears in my folder list. There’s no setting for syncing or sharing that shows this folder. I’ve restored the icon back to the standard Windows folder image, but it still changes on its own—especially since it holds a lot of backup files as indicated by its name. Any suggestions on what might have caused this?

It seems you're thinking about an Acronis-related topic. Could you clarify what you mean? I'm here to help with any questions or details you have!

That’s the appearance, but it isn’t showing up in the settings. It doesn’t appear to function after I switched the icon back, so it probably wasn’t meant to store backups in a folder named “backup.”

The design reminded me of Acronis products. Probably, if it were just a simple folder, it would recognize most files and label them as Acronis-related, hence the matching icon. Not a deep explanation, but that’s the gist!
