On Aurora (beta version), it functioned similarly... After the edit, the interface appeared as described—comparable on Mac to Windows.

I've just made the latest changes a few minutes ago, so I'm not sure it's running perfectly. I'll have to rely on it for some time.

They refer to it as "maximised." Are you frustrated by the excess empty space at the bottom of the display?

It bothers me that it resembles chrome. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing, but it gives the impression the Firefox team copied their look. So far, it feels a bit snappier and smoother, which is a plus. This copy-cat vibe is what bothers me. However, I’m unlikely to notice it after a few days.
