Hey reader hope you're doing good. I am not feeling very happy 🙁. So today I bought a new laptop ASUS ROG STRIX G15 15.6". The specs are: Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8 GB RAM, Memory : 16 GB DDR5 running at 3200 Mhz, Storage : 1 TB SSD, Processor : AMD Ryzen 7 6800H at 3.2 GHz / 4.7 GHz / Octa-core core OS : Windows 11 I was so excited and happy, thought I would see real good gaming for the first time in my life... sadly it is not like that. I did all the Windows updates and installed nvidia GPU drivers and all Asus drivers. Games I tested were League of Legends and CS:GO In Leauge at start I got 240-200 fps but then a minute later in game FPS dropped to 100-115 fps. CS was 300-200 vs computer and under 200 vs real people. I am sure that this type of PC shouldn't be that bad on FPS, especially for games like that... https://pc-builds.com/fps-calculator/res...1920x1080/ I checked FPS calculator and honestly it died inside. I am trying to search online for any help tried AMD adrenalinr changing settings, game mode On/Off and yet same bad FPS... I don't know what to do was thinking maybe it's windows 11 fault but why would it be? Laptop works perfectly in other aspects just games doesn't run well. I'm desperate and I need your help 😇 Your suggestions and ideas are much welcomed. 👍

Honestly, playing games on a laptop isn't the same as doing it with a desktop. Things like how hot things get and other stuff are much bigger problems. Also, lots of features that come from desktop versions are missing here. And what resolution is your monitor? Unless you play pro level games, you won't see much benefit from a higher frame rate. For most people who aren't super good at gaming or have fast reflexes, the small changes in how long it takes to react (input lag) show no real difference; they just feel like nothing happens because of a placebo effect. You'd be better off looking up benchmarks and talking about heat instead of constantly complaining that your laptop is terrible. If it's really bad for you, go back home and get a different one. Console games might fit in with what you want much better than this setup...

I'd probably check things with MSI Afterburner to watch how much the GPU and CPU are using power. It might be making things worse for you.

Did you try right clicking on the game icon? Then select Run With Your 3070 Ti Video Card.

I'll actually test performance too. Those scores on those websites are fake, not real.

It feels totally okay to be playing a game that has many moving parts (FPS).

If I have 200 to 240 points right now, but my score drops to 100 later on, then my game is a bit broken.

I am totally a noob when it comes to computers, so I don't know how to find the right place to do this. I keep looking around but can't figure out which button or menu to use. Can you please show me the steps?
