Hey, I understand your situation. Recently, I installed a new build with a 5700XT and it worked fine for a while. But now it keeps disconnecting itself and removing drivers. After reinstalling the official drivers and updating the BIOS, some unofficial AMD drivers helped it last a bit longer—about a week. Now the problem is back. The GPU isn’t completely dead, though—it’s just behaving strangely. Since it was used, I’m not sure about its history.
Check the GPU using CPU-Z for details like model and possible BIOS modifications. The link provides useful information for identification.
Did you turn on XMP or DOCP for the RAM, or did you simply switch it to DDR4-3600 in the BIOS? CPU-Z shows the RAM at 3600 MHz, yet the timing specs seem incorrect. The Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO is labeled DDR4-3600 with CL18-22-22-42 timings, but CPU-Z lists CL26-25-25-58... Your BIOS is current (version 3002). It looks like a genuine Sapphire 5700XT. Have you installed the latest AMD Adrenalin driver? What type of power supply are you using?
I just changed the MB bios and picked a 3600Mhz clock for RAM, but it didn’t show any timing info. Still not my PC, but a friend built one for him. The driver version should be the latest, and we also tried an unofficial one without success. For long, I’m using an 850W 80+ Bronze Enermax marble PSU—its specs and performance match what you’d expect from a 5700XT.
You're asking about the setup details and recent changes. Did you just activate a preconfigured CPU overclock in the BIOS using Ai Tuner? Are you configuring the memory to DDR-3600? Also, are there any new updates since your last status update on the 21st?
I don't really understand what was changed to set the frequency to 3600. It seems manual adjustments were made on the DOCP/XMP slider and memory frequency is at 3600. No updates have been made yet, but he intends to bring back the PSU and GPU to purchase a Pure Power 12 M | 750W unit with either a 2080Ti / 3070 or another 5700XT model.
