the feature "1 core per compute unit" isn't available
hello guys. i was reading about cpu oc and other topics and came across the "1 core per compute unit" setting. some games i played were quite demanding on the cpu, so i wanted to upgrade my old fx6100 oc'ed. after installing it normally, i started searching for this option in the bios but didn't know where to find it... i'm not sure if it's related to my motherboard or something else. now i'm trying to figure out how to enable it. my details are: asus m5a78l-m lx v2, amd fx6100 bulldozer cpu, gtx970 graphics, 10gb ram at 1600mhz.
1) It appears in your BIOS settings
2) Make sure you understand what it does before enabling it.
In short, this adjustment will convert your "6 core" processor into a 3 core one, which could slow performance if you run single-threaded programs.
I've reviewed the information and looked into the discussions, but I'm unsure if this feature has a different name in the BIOS or if it's not available on my system since I couldn't locate it.
