Device: Razer Blade Stealth 13, 2019, MX150 GPU. Greetings. I’m experiencing an odd behavior: my laptop runs smoothly without any noise, but when I leave it idle for a short time, the fans kick into high gear as if I were gaming nonstop. It happens whether I’m closed or open, and even after restarting, the fans resume immediately. This pattern has been consistent since I started using the machine. When I return, simply moving my cursor brings everything back to normal. Is this typical for this model?

It seems like a background process or possibly malware might be running. Consider using Malwarebytes and an antivirus such as Kaspersky. Edit: To ensure safety, run both tools at maximum scanning, even if they flag false positives. You can review the results to determine if anything is unusual. Edited June 29, 2020 by Saksham

It's possible it could be malware, especially if it's been active from the start. A new laptop shouldn't automatically mean safety—always check for suspicious behavior or updates.

It's not bad to give it a shot, even if it seems improbable. If it's brand new, it could be a manufacturing issue. Reach out to Racer and ask about a replacement. I've heard they often face quality control problems. Edited June 29, 2020 by Saksham

It's been the same from the start, when everything was brand new. Now it's not brand new at all—I used up the warranty a few days back. Hehehe!
