Hi All
I'm trying to find a solution to an unusual issue.
When playing Ubisoft titles (The Division 2 and Far Cry New Dawn), my Corsair H100i platinum tends to increase and decrease its speed.
I've turned off all connections between the software and games, the in-game menu, and the audio cues.
I created a new profile with everything disabled and fans set to balanced.
My temperatures are recorded at 38°C at maximum settings.
My initial concern was temperature spikes, but this isn't happening in other situations.
For example, I can play COD WZ at full speed for hours without fans fluctuating.
Even at 45°C max settings, I don’t experience this problem.
Any suggestions would be really helpful.
Thanks, Guys

I figured it out. I removed the side panel from my PC to test it, and then I checked how much it was running. It stopped quickly. My thought is the CPU reached 90% usage, which caused the temperature spikes. This doesn’t happen with anything else except Ubisoft games.

The issue with games from such a company is quite frequent. It largely depends on your hardware. Perhaps upgrading some components would help, like the processor or the fan. As the fan runs to keep the processor cool, you might also need to replace the paste inside, since it has a shelf life and sometimes requires refreshing. You may end up needing to restart your computer this way.
