I possess a one-terabyte storage device I acquired some time ago and have been using it with my PS4. I understand their partitioning method is unique, but in Windows I found ways to bypass it using disk manager or disk part. Right now I'm running Fedora 35 and have been using it for a while. I expected a similar process, so I opened the default partition manager and attempted to create a new partition since it appeared as an empty disk in Windows. However, when I accessed the partition manager, it wasn't visible at all—only my main and CD drives were listed. I searched online for alternatives, but most results either suggested Windows steps or simply recommended using the default manager. When I asked someone to bring over a Windows machine, it was secured with UAC and the password was unknown. I also tried gparted, but it didn’t appear there either. The USB cable is fully connected on both ends, the disk light is lit, and it makes noise while spinning. What should I do? Note: I considered an alternative idea—using an Android phone with a USB-C to-A adapter. If you connect a non-FAT storage device, it should prompt for formatting. I attempted this and it seemed to work at least, though the computer still didn’t recognize it until I restarted. Updated May 5, 2022 by Fake4091
