Hello, I'm dealing with a problem on my HP Pavilion x360 (2016) using Windows 10 2004. Occasionally, Explorer.exe would crash, leading to the taskbar resetting. I looked into Event Viewer and found several details: the application name was Explorer, version 10.0.19041.264, a fault occurred at timestamp 0x4595555c. The module involved was ntdll.dll, version 10.0.19041.207, with a fault code of 0xc0000374. There were also specific fault offsets and process IDs recorded. I checked my system specs—Intel i5-6200U at 2.30GHz—and noticed the issue goes beyond a simple SFC fix. The community suggests deeper troubleshooting, so I'm seeking further guidance. Thanks!

Have you at least attempted this? Since part of your file system uses explorer.exe, it seems unlikely it wouldn’t work.

I only use Windows Defender as my antivirus. It conducts routine scans and reports no issues.

This guide highlights several practical steps you can take, most of which are straightforward. https://www.maketecheasier.com/windows-e...ing-fixes/ worst case scenario, though it may be frustrating, a fresh OS installation is a good solution.

Got it, I've saved it for later. Right now everything seems working fine.
