My PC will not connect through ethernet wire and I do not have a WIFI adapter. The connection isn't showing up in CMD either. I am running Windows 11 Pro.

What you're referring to involves troubleshooting why something isn't appearing in the CMD. If it does, run IPCONFIG /all and verify the ethernet entry; if missing, check the Devices Manager and ensure the hardware is present. For new builds, confirm there are no BIOS settings disabling it and that the appropriate drivers are installed.

What is your motherboard model? Some systems need manual installation of the Ethernet controller driver. It's also important to note whether this issue is new or if the computer has never had Ethernet working before.

Describe your connection setup like this: modem->cable->wifi router->cable->PC. If you navigate to settings->Network & Internet->Ethernet, you should find details about your Ethernet adapter. If nothing appears, it likely indicates a problem with the Ethernet adapter on your motherboard or requires driver installation. If you see a Realtek controller listed, the issue might be a faulty cable. You can also check settings->system->troubleshoot->other troubleshooters->Network and Internet and click "run". Windows should provide information about the connection failure.
