I have no internet anymore on my gaming pc and I have no idea how to fix it. Basicaly I've just turned on my PC after I came back from work to chill in a game or yt but my realtek ethernet adapter doesnt show up anymore.. so no internet at all Can't troubleshoot it because it doesnt show up, not even in device manager. I have a B550M Aorus Alite motherboard and Im using its integrated lan (so not an external lan card) and WIN 11 as my OS I have tried multiple ways of fixing the problem, such as: - Reinstalling and updating the driver from gigabyte official website - Performing a network reset - Tried different commands in cmd like netsh winsock and other (like everyone recommends to do) in order to reset the network - Tried 4 different cables (cat5,cat6) - Tried restarting my router - Tried switching cables in my router (plugging in different port) - I connected a laptop and another pc (a shitty one) to that router via rj45 cables and they both have internet (so the problem is not from my isp) can the mobo lan port simply.. died? how is it possible all of the sudden? what other tests / fixes can I do?
It affected two of my towers simultaneously. The situation was intense. What appears in Device Manager—whether present or not—can indicate problems. It might be listed under Unknown Devices, or Windows may not recognize it at all.
It's missing as it should be; the only items in Device Manager-Network are the "WAN" entries. The Realtek adapter isn't visible at all.
From an admin CMD window, execute Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, then run sfc /scannow. If unsuccessful, consider installing Windows on a spare drive to test recognition. For a USB drive, use a Linux live USB. If all options fail, reach out to the motherboard manufacturer for guidance or RMA support.
