Visit the Asus site and get the LAN drivers straight from them for your device. The Windows driver search isn't very helpful here since it typically only sets generic versions that often lead to problems.

You still have a port connected mechanically. Remove the cable and inspect the pins. A simple method to determine if the problem is software-related is to boot into Linux using a USB drive.

Your Ethernet links are trying to reach 100Mbps under ideal conditions. Standard Cat5E or newer cables can support speeds up to 1Gbps, so using a newer cable should resolve this issue. Even older Cat5 connections might not perform well now. If you link your PC directly to the router with a modern Cat5E or better cable, bypassing the wall runs, what speed does the network card actually negotiate? When discussing the router, please share its brand and model. Also, check for any exposed wires at the connection point and avoid sharp bends in the cables along the path.
