Sounds good! I’ll experiment with various slots. I also intend to build an external box featuring a PCIe 1x to 4 slot riser, which should allow me to effectively divide lanes.

It seems unclear how the process should function. You can't split a 4x slot into individual 1x1x1 pieces. The USB riser is only 1x...
