I've been getting warnings from my video editing software about insufficient or inadequate RAM. I checked the motherboard BIOS and adjusted the speed, but it turns out I set it higher than what my RAM can handle, causing the computer to fail to start (it was around 2133 and I changed it to 3600, while the RAM only goes up to 3200). Any advice? Thanks.

First, adjust XMP settings to limit RAM overclocking up to 3200. Even then, you might still need to manually configure the DRAM voltage in BIOS, as seen with my B450 Mortar. However, if your video editing program is reporting issues, it's likely related to memory capacity rather than performance. You may require a 32GB module for your task, which would necessitate an additional 2x8 module of the same type if necessary.

Remove your CMOS battery for 5 to 15 minutes.
Reinsert it afterward.
This should clear all overclocks and restart the system.

I was utilizing hitflim express. I've also completed benchmark tests, which indicate my RAM is underperforming.

I don't understand why the battery won't come out. Are you asking if MSI offers a SMA CMOS battery that can be removed without taking it completely out?

If I ran at 2133, I'd think the benchmark was perfect for that! But going past it's labeled overclock with XMP (3200) probably isn't needed unless you're prepared for the adjustments required.

I possess an MSI motherboard with two metal clips; press them together and attempt to remove the battery.

Thanks that worked. Do you have any suggestions for your RAM, such as the recommended speed? I think you might also want to consider the voltage, but I’m not sure.
