The Epson Perfection V39 model fails when transitioning from W10 to W11.
I occasionally use this scanner to generate PDFs from physical copies and send them via email. It performed well with my older W10 system, but not with the newer W11 desktop. I've updated the drivers from Epson's site. The desktop icon now shows an alert that the scanner isn't connected. Additionally, the blue button on the scanner scans 2 or 3 times per press and creates small sections of the 8.5x11 sheet.
The scanning app being considered is likely Windows 11 or an application that lacks proper integration with the Epson Scanner. It seems the device isn't recognized in Device Manager. Checking "Windows Fax and Scan" through the Search box may help. The scanner itself appears to be an Epson model, but verification of its webpage is recommended. If it remains unavailable, a PowerShell command can be used to search for it. Additionally, ensure you're not using third-party tools for installation. You might also want to confirm if "New Outlook" is in use.
