Hello, I’d like to share my computer specifications with you.

I'm running an i5 2500 processor, a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card, 8GB of DDR3 memory at 1600MHz speed, and a Z68AP-D3 motherboard (which I couldn’t update). My system has a 650W power supply and utilizes liquid cooling, with a 2TB Seagate Barracuda hard drive.

However, I'm experiencing several issues: 1) My Ethernet connection is frequently unreliable, causing fluctuating download speeds; 2) HD Tune indicates that my hard drive's performance is inconsistent; and 3) I consistently encounter stuttering – frame rates dip from 60 to 58 and then return, though this is more pronounced in Overwatch. Stuttering also occurs when watching YouTube while other games are running simultaneously.

Could you please assist me?

If your online connection is experiencing problems, investigate your router, cable modem, or with your internet service provider. Also, perform a speed test at speedtest.net to assess your connection’s performance.

It's time to duplicate your computer’s contents onto a solid-state drive!

Should you consider replacing an older system from 2011 with a newer one from 2020?

Wishing you success.

Experiment with the new frame rate limit within the latest Nvidia driver, configuring it to match your monitor’s refresh rate—for example, a 60Hz display should be capped at 60 frames per second. Persistent stuttering while playing games or viewing YouTube videos might also be linked to an inconsistent internet connection. Determine the fluctuation in your download and upload speeds using Seagate’s HD program to investigate potential issues further.

My internet connection’s inconsistency causes problems with games played without an online link, and I'm experiencing the same thing in “it.” I don’t believe my hard drive is to blame, as I previously acquired a Firecuda two months ago and faced the identical difficulty, leading me to return it. Subsequently, I upgraded to 2x8 RAM and a 2TB Barracuda, both of which appear to be functioning properly. What other factors could contribute to lagging and pauses?
