that's a PCIe connector for a graphics card. The one for the motherboard is 4+4 instead of 6+2. Some motherboards accept a 6 pin or 6+2 pin for the PCIe slots, but that extra PCIe power often has pretty fringe uses so you can ignore it if your board has it
