The Elder Scrolls VI - Dialogue system
The Elder Scrolls VI - Dialogue system
I’d love to see a working Alpha Protocol-style dialogue system. That approach was impressive, and I thought Obisidan would have included it in Fallout: New Vegas. Alpha Protocol had some issues, but they really captured the right tone. Still, building a flawless system would take countless hours of voice recordings just to achieve a believable feel.
Despite being a big fan of Elder Scrolls, I might have moved on if the main character had a voice. My role is mostly internal, which really limits my interest in story or quest mods. Making changes to the game has become tough after Oblivion, especially with silent voice options and the new dialogue system in Skyrim. I struggle with The Witcher 3—it wasn’t what I expected, and it’s more of an action title than a traditional RPG.
Hope TES VI feels more similar to Skyrim. I enjoy FO4, but Skyrim is the better game. I actually enjoyed the voice acting in FO4 too.
Sure, I can clarify how it works. The system is designed to handle tasks without needing prior knowledge of the game.
Picture a dialogue system inspired by Mass Effect merged with The Walking Dead's choice system. Introduce a time element that pushes players to depend only on immediate awareness rather than complex reasoning. Incorporate just enough butterfly effect in your dialogue options, resulting in an Alpha Protocol-like experience.
I’d love watching Fallout present the whole sentence at once, not just fragments. I don’t mind needing a quick save to experiment, but I find it frustrating when I have to step away and try again. lol
It sounds like you're thinking it would be challenging for the developers to include it in their projects.
