When connecting my earbuds, audio plays clearly, but using the mic triggers a loud beeping sound. After replacing the HD Audio cable, the same problem persisted. Testing with another device resolved both issues. No other problems have arisen, and this was the only one encountered.

Specs: Processor i5-12600K, Motherboard ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 ATX LGA1700, Memory Silicon Power 2x8GB DDR4 3200, Graphics Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, Storage Western Digital Green 1TB NVME SSD, OS Windows 10 Home 64 bit, Power Supply Termaltake Toughpower GF1 750W, Case NZXT H510, BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends International, LLC. 6.01, 14/01/22 SMBIOS Version: 3.4

Do you connect your earbuds with a Y splitter to divide the four-pole cable, assigning one for the mic and another for the headphones?

Many motherboards don't support 4-pole connectors. Switch to a Y splitter and the problems should disappear.
