The division will not proceed.
I purchased the division on Steam but didn’t play it for a month. Recently, when I tried to launch it, it asked to install the game again, even though it’s listed in Steam Apps/Common. When I try launching from Uplay, it opens Steam and insists on installing the game. There’s no way to check the files. I’m not sure if there’s a fix or if I should just skip downloading another 40 GB.
Open the playback options and check the game folder path. Set it to the SteamApps/common directory where the game resides, so you can launch it directly from there. You can adjust this in properties or simply navigate to the settings.
Open the game in Steam, locate its installation folder, or install a non-Steam game and simply run the EXE file through Steam.
It was set up prior to the update, and I performed the update yesterday. When I tried to launch it today, it reported an inability to start the game and suggested closing and restarting. I restarted the PC instead and encountered the same issue. Note that the non-Steam method didn't resolve the problem.
You seem confused. It might be necessary to try installing it again. Steam indicates that the game isn't found in the folder you specified.
