It seems the adapter that previously functioned well now behaves unpredictably after hardware changes. I've tried various fixes—updating storage, resetting cables, swapping out monitors—and even removed the GPU temporarily. The issue appears to be linked to the CPU, motherboard, and RAM upgrades. Could you share more details or let me know what happens when you test it with different components?

It halted entirely, indicating a connection issue but no video output. I plan to lower the driver versions to troubleshoot further. I've tested various HDMI cables and inputs on both my TV and monitor, which helped. Thanks for your prompt reply! Edit: After removing the drivers via DDU, the problem persists.

It's difficult to determine immediately if the adapter is faulty. You might try using it on another computer. As a final option, consider buying a different adapter or cable from a trusted source. If you buy from a reliable seller or Amazon, you can return it if needed. Good luck!

You discovered the fix—your adapter's plastic shell was making contact with a component in your case, preventing a proper connection. The issue arose because the motherboard's GPU slot is now higher, which previously worked. Appreciate your help!
