Dear user, I recently acquired an RTX 3070 EVGA FTW3 GPU (removed the old drive using DDU tool). Whenever the monitors enter sleep mode, the main screen flickers on and off several times before restarting after a few seconds. Since it has G-sync enabled, I see the Nvidia message in the task bar saying "G-sync connected," but in the control panel it was disabled. Despite using the least driver available, the problem persists regardless of the driver version. My monitor is an ASUS ROG PG278QR. Any advice?

It might involve firmware updates for the monitor, ports, motherboard, etc. Although many newer devices have minor compatibility issues, they can still cause frustration—like slow sleep modes or needing several inputs before waking up. Some BIOS versions have fixed certain problems, but it may not resolve everything and could introduce other complications. Graphics drivers usually aren't much help unless the card itself is functioning correctly and displaying properly. You might want to switch from HDMI to DisplayPort or vice versa. To be clear, you can boot up and access the system.

I own the same monitor. I’m not experiencing these problems. It’s connected to my 2070 Super using a Display Port cable, and G-Sync is active for full-screen apps. Have you adjusted the monitor’s settings? It might help to disable G-Sync temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
