I've encountered similar issues before, but no complete solution was found. Would you like me to share some possible suggestions? Your 5800x3d doesn't reach beyond 3600 during the 4500 boost clock it's supposed to hit. It's installed on an Asus TUF X570 plus Wi-Fi setup. I'm using BIOS version 4408, AMD 5800x3d chipset drivers, the latest Corsair H150i capellix, Windows 11, and a fully updated RM850 PSU with a 3080 10GB PSU under positive pressure. I've checked the BIOS updates, reset CMOS, tried manually adjusting clocks (4.5), and benchmarks show temperatures staying well below max. I keep HWinfo open while gaming and benchmarking, and it never exceeds 3600. If anyone has tips or knows about a beta BIOS with an updated AGESA version, let me know—I'm considering updating but unsure if now is the right time.
It's possible to relocate the CPU back into the motherboard slot (worth considering)
We're evaluating against standard performance metrics, beginning with testing 7-Zip functionality.
I'm still unsure about updating to the beta bios, but maybe I'll try tonight. I included screenshots from the CPU Z benchmark. No matter which benchmark I run—even 7zip—it never reaches 4.5. The screenshots indicate the pbo max is around 4550, it just doesn't hit that number. Also, I recently reseated the CPU and didn't see any improvement.
