I recently purchased this 4K monitor, but when I switch between full-screen apps, my screen briefly goes black, reconnects, then turns black again for a second before returning fully. It affects both monitors connected to my GPU. I’m wondering if the issue is related to the hardware, especially since I’ve seen people with multiple large 4K OLED displays work fine. The GPU is an RTX 4080 SUPER from Gigabyte, and the CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7800X3D. The monitors are Asus ROG Swift 32" and LG UltraGDX 32". Resolutions are 4K and 2K.

It could be a drawback of DSC—Reddit discusses a comparable problem. However, it may not always be true. Removing the existing Nvidia drivers via DDU and updating them might resolve the issue.

If it were DSC, would it influence your other monitors as well? (I've used an LG monitor for over three years and only noticed this problem with an ASUS model recently.) Also, I've uninstalled and reinstalled my Nvidia drivers, and I'm currently using the latest version.

I'm not completely certain if it's the DSC problem. I recall having similar concerns earlier. However, I didn't realize the issue disappeared until after I swapped my RTX 4080 for an RTX 3070. Removing drivers via DDU can sometimes work better than simply uninstalling them through the control panel.
