I've been running an overclocked GTX 1070 for several years without any visual problems. I started with a basic monitor, then upgraded to a 4K display that still functions smoothly. Recently, I switched to the ASUS VG32V at 144Hz. At first it worked flawlessly, but now I often see horizontal lines or artifacts on the bottom of the screen during startup—sometimes they fade after a few minutes, other times they persist. Someone else shared a photo of my setup, though their monitor is different but uses the same GPU and claims success by reducing the refresh rate. My current monitor has an automatic setting, and no higher refresh rate options appear in Windows or NVIDIA Display Control. I’ve tried restarting it multiple times to clear the issue, reset the display, updated drivers, and turned off overclocking. My suspicion is the monitor itself might be faulty. If that’s the case, what steps would you suggest to resolve it without sending it back? Thanks in advance!
