the display flickers briefly while I run demanding visual games
I recently purchased a used PC with these specifications: GPU - RTX 2070 SUPER, CPU - Ryzen 5 3600, Motherboard - Asus A320M-F, RAM - 16GB 3200MHz, Power supply - 500W Aigo 80+ bronze. I’m using a 1080p 60Hz LG TV as my monitor. When playing games such as God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Detroit: Become Human, Marvel’s SpiderMan Miles Morales, The Last of Us Part 1, and even GTA V, the screen flickers or blinks frequently, sometimes more than others. I’ve tried lowering the graphics settings to reduce the flicker, but it still persists. Additionally, the display shows a snow-like effect resembling white sprinkles, similar to static. Could this be related to my HDMI cable or is it a GPU issue? The cable itself is 1.4V.
Apologies for the delayed response. I was attempting to recreate the PC in PC Part Picker to verify if the PSU wattage is sufficient, though I suspect it might not be the issue. I've updated all the drivers I can find. If you have any specific driver recommendations, I'd appreciate them. I'm also uncertain whether the GPU was used for mining before. I'll use a different HDMI cable to see if that resolves the problem. Thank you for your assistance.
