Hello!
I'm going to buy a hyper 212 evo for an i7 860. I will overclock to what I let the heatsink.
I live in europe. They say there are 2 versions of this sink. There is great difference between the two?
I say this because in most reviews is the American version.
Regards!!

The US version includes mounting hardware for LGA 2011. It also features a distinct fan. The RPM and CFM values differ, but the US version should perform slightly better due to the faster fan. It will also be noisier.

I wasn't aware of any differences.
They offer a 212 plus and 212 evo with a quieter fan, a slightly better heatsink base, and some updates to the plus model.

I believe Nukemaster is correct. You're considering the Hyper 212+ and the Hyper 212 Evo, which are distinct coolers. The Evo stands out as the superior choice. There shouldn't be any variation between models sold in Europe and those in the US.

I think there might be a minor distinction in the metals used because of regional regulations, but I'm not convinced about it.

Do you believe I should search for the American edition or simply ignore it? Are the reviews unclear about which version was used, and I worry about a poor European performance?

I wouldn't be concerned about it. In fact, I believe if you locate a Euro model that supports LGA 2011, it would match the American one you mentioned. American model - LGA 2011 compatibility (you don't have to). A better fan would help, but it would also make it louder. The European version is heavier, so perhaps a stronger heatsink could compensate for the American model's fan. I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Well, the major difference it's the Bearing Type , while the international version is "4th generation" the EU version is "Rifle Bearing". On the Eu version page you don't even see refering to the bearing while in intern. version you haver a big picture explaining what is 4th generation bearing.
