I need to understand your options better. The price of the item with the motherboard is 20% higher than the one without. If the performance gap is under 10%, you’d choose the one priced at 10,400. Can you clarify the exact numbers and what you mean by performance difference? Thanks!

The variation is around 10 percent. But choosing a 12100f would significantly reduce the cost, especially since it's the CPU I already use and am very happy with. If the price gap remains large or you require integrated graphics, opt for the 10400 instead. Let me know if this assists!

Generally, you should opt for the 12100 due to its superior single-core and multi-core performance, even though it sacrifices two cores. You'd also be acquiring a more modern motherboard with enhanced upgrade capabilities. I highly suggest considering the 12400 instead, as in most regions the 12400F (without integrated graphics) is only slightly more expensive than the 12100F.

OP would need to purchase a GPU as well if they choose the F series. I suggest the 12100 since it offers more space for future upgrades and its motherboards are more recent.

If purchasing a GPU, opt for the 12100f; otherwise, choose the 12100. It’s quite reliable with a decent upgrade route and works well with many GPUs, though it might not handle the top-tier models as effectively.

You're already using a system from the 2060s featuring an i7-2600K. You don't need to upgrade the GPU, just focus on the CPU, motherboard, and RAM.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t able to locate a suitable deal for the H610, so I ended up getting an i5 10400F at a reasonable price. It came with 16GB RAM and an H410 motherboard. Appreciate all the support!

Sure thing! Here’s a revised version:

So, the 10400f combo for 150 looks like a solid deal. Also, be sure to highlight solutions to the post to help others who need assistance more quickly. Thanks!
