You skipped the upgrade and chose to use your GTX 1060 instead. What were you planning to do with it?
I'm also diving into bf5, Witcher 3, Devil May Cry 5 Final Fantasy, etc. I know which GPU to upgrade my 1050 Ti, but the RX 570 and 1060 with 6GB didn't work on my PC and they ended up being sold.
SSD would definitely speed up the loading screen and improve internet browsing. Performance should noticeably boost. I had to sell a 1060, so I’m hoping it’ll work well for the buyer. Just don’t want to end up with another broken GPU!
SSD doesn’t hinder gaming speed; it only makes loading quicker and the whole setup smoother and more responsive. Today’s SSDs come in compact sizes, making them essential. That might seem odd, but it’s worth checking with friends’ systems before purchasing.
This is easy to figure out. Install MSI AfterBurner, Setup the HUD with stats of CPU load and GPU load. Which one is at 100%? GPU, CPU, Both? If GPU is at 100% "upgading" the CPU will give you a bit of improvement but not much. Is CPU at 100% and GPU not? GPU is waiting for CPU so CPU "upgrade" will help. Etc I think you see the point.
Consider upgrading to a better GPU if needed. If it doesn’t fit your current setup, it might be worth it. For older boards and 450W PSUs, the 1050Ti remains a solid choice.
I really need a bit more speed for 1080p, but I’m not sure what to do next. Perhaps I should keep using this PC for another year before upgrading to a completely different one with new parts.
