I own a Lenovo Yoga 7 laptop, but recently it won't display when connected to a monitor. It worked before, but now it just stops. I've tried using Windows + P and an included hotkey, but changing settings doesn't save or update properly. Need help!

Verify the device manager and observe if Windows recognizes the second screen. Possible issues could include cable damage, port problems, or other factors.

On the screen it displays "Generic PnP monitor" yet it remains active after you disconnect the cable.

I don’t have an HDMI port built into my computer, so I rely on a hub. I’ve also tried using a direct adapter, but it hasn’t worked either.

It's puzzling because it functioned perfectly before. However, after restarting it last week, the connection stopped working.

The problem is that my computer isn't turning the output on, and I don't know how to resolve it
