I tried switching the RAM into different memory slots (Dual Channel DDR3) and everything functioned normally. After restarting for about ten minutes, all systems operated correctly. However, when I powered off and turned on the PC, it didn’t start properly. I repeated the process, but nothing changed. Essentially, changing RAM in another slot made the PC and monitor work fine. As long as I didn’t alter any slots, restarting everything worked smoothly. But when I shut down and pressed the power button, the monitor failed to turn on and the front fan also stopped. There was no beep or LED indicator from the motherboard. My PC was built in 2014 with an Intel Pentium G3258 CPU, a Corsair VS Series 450W PSU, a Gigabyte GA-Z97M-D3H motherboard, 8GB Vengeance RAM (2x4GB) at 1600 MHz, a Seagate ST1000DX1TB SSD, and a Samsung MZ-7TE120BW 840 EVO. I don’t have a graphics card. Windows 10 Pro version 1903 was installed. When I changed the RAM, I would shut down the PC, unplug the power cable, disconnect all USBs, LAN, and VGA cables—nothing was connected. Later, I adjusted the slot positions (swapping grey to black and vice versa) and then reinstalled the RAM. If my computer turned on but showed nothing, I moved it from the black slot to the grey one. My motherboard has four slots: black, grey, black, grey. Eventually, after reconnecting everything, both PC and monitor functioned properly. Another point is that sometimes the PC doesn’t receive power at all, so I’d check the supply cables and then try again. Possibly my PSU isn’t working correctly? But how could it operate under those conditions?
You might believe the power supply unit is the cause. It could be the reason your PC starts but shows no display, even though RAM changes don’t affect it.
