I purchased an LG 27GP850 roughly two years ago, and it functioned well for a while. However, it began showing unusual issues. When using the extended freesync mode and with gsync active, the screen would occasionally go black—sometimes the backlight turned off as well—for a brief moment before resuming. This happened multiple times before the display returned to normal. I returned it to LG for repair twice, but the issue persisted.

I’ve tested various display cables, swapped GPU ports on my motherboard, and even replaced the GPU itself (not because of that, but as an upgrade). Despite these changes, the problem continues. I suspect the monitor might be at fault, not the hardware or cables. The only other possibilities I considered were the GPU or the cable, which I changed several times.

I also bought a new monitor, and it’s experiencing the same issue. My brother’s system doesn’t have this problem, so I’m stuck. It’s a significant concern—I need to play important games right now, and even a brief loss of image would be disastrous. I found someone on Reddit who reported a similar issue, suggesting it was due to a misaligned graphics card. I checked mine, but it seems to be fine.

I recently upgraded to a new case with a fractal design. Could the case be interfering with proper GPU seating? I hadn’t considered this at first, since the problem didn’t occur on my original TV, and gsync was enabled there too. It never happened on that setup either.
