There's also a point where it wont feel any faster, if your monitor is 60Hz, as the time it takes to display what its doing is the same. Upgrading to a higher refresh monitor makes your PC feel MUCH more responsive in the general UI itself, as you see it reacting faster.
He uses a quad-channel HEDT, and his modest RAM offers more bandwidth than your high-end 3600MHz configuration. The fact that he's been OC'd is noted. Which of these many drives are you asking about?

Everything seems fine. The most likely issue is a corrupted or bloated OS, which could be fixed with a reinstall. Otherwise, it’s probably just a misunderstanding about performance.
I need more details about the problem you're facing. Which games are involved? What specific settings or issues are occurring? Providing those specifics will help clarify the situation.
It seems your system runs slowly in Windows, especially when opening folders. Games like Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War often load slowly, and store icons take a long time. I expect more than 80 frames per second on ultra settings at 1440p with ray tracing and DLSS enabled. Maybe I’m just a beginner and this is normal for my hardware. If you’ve saved up, you might get a RTX 3090 soon—perhaps it’ll be available in over a year. Thanks for all the suggestions!
