The device is assembled, the operating system is set up, how do I get the drivers?
Hi, I've built my first computer. Everything about the cables is set. Now I just need to install the drivers. My issue is that I don't have an ODD. For the internet connection, I require the driver for my Wi-Fi chipset. Can I download them online? Here’s what I have: an Intel Core i5 4690K from Asus VI formula, Corsair Veangence Pro 16GB Sapphire HD6850, and an EVO 850. Can I get these from another computer and save them to a USB drive? What drivers should I use? For example, the Asus website lists many options (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS..._Download/). How do I choose the right ones? Thanks and have a great day.
Save the files to a flash drive on a different machine, or transfer them to an Android device using a USB cable to extract the contents.
Transfer the files to another device, save them on a USB stick, relocate them to the new computer, and set up the installation.
I'll transfer them to a flash drive and set them up on my new system. Which drivers should I select? There are many available on the Asus website: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS..._Download/
If you haven't made any changes, obtain the drivers you require or are essential for and install them. For instance, if you need internet access, download the LAN/Wireless drivers (select the correct versions for your operating system). Pick the most recent updates. For instance, the newest wireless driver version is "Version 6.34.223.5". You can also retrieve the latest drivers for audio and USB devices.
You won't have to install all of them, as ASUS provides a complete list of every driver release. Just keep the newest version for each one. Get the network drivers (LAN, Wireless, Bluetooth), the Audio driver, the Intel Chipset Driver, ASMedia SATA driver, and USB drivers. Integrated graphics drivers aren't necessary unless you plan to use them. Finally, download the newest GPU drivers from NVIDIA's site.
Thank you for your assistance. I also require the HD6850 driver since my monitor is displaying low resolution, which is uncomfortable for my eyes. There are many drivers available, and this time it appears to be more than just a different release version. Which ones should I choose? http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation...394&lid=1# Also, can someone confirm if it's possible to uninstall a driver? If I switch GPUs, how would I remove the previous ones?
