You're asking if we should change the shutdown behavior. Since I'm configured not to sleep automatically and the power button is set for sleep, I think it's okay to adjust the power button settings. It would be fine if it shuts down when activated.
If it fails and doesn’t slow down much, then fine. Or if it’s not too intense on your eyes, you might let it keep running.
