Hello,

I've noticed my PC frequently freezes up considerably when I’m downloading games from platforms like Steam or Origin. Furthermore, it experiences significant slowdowns whenever I attempt to stream a game while simultaneously playing it. After investigating online, I discovered that numerous users encountered comparable difficulties, and a solution involved accessing the command prompt and entering “bcdedit /set useplatform clock false.” Upon performing this action and restarting my system, the issue initially resolved itself. However, it occasionally begins lagging spontaneously during gameplay sessions. Here are my system specifications:

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450-f
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: GTX 1050ti (primarily used for less demanding games)
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance 2666mhz

Notably, I haven't adjusted any CPU settings for overclocking.

My computer includes a 2.5-inch Western Digital Blue SSD with 500 gigabytes of storage, utilizing SATA 3 technology and operating under Windows 10. Additionally, I possess a Seagate Barracuda hard drive, the specifications of which regarding rotational speed are currently unknown, alongside a 2 terabyte Seagate Barracuda intended for gaming purposes.
