Hello everyone, I have an old AM2+ motherboard from around 2008 or 2009 and I'm trying to find a way to flash its BIOS. The goal is to update it because installing a graphics card doesn't work in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, so I thought about cloud flashing. Are there any other websites besides Sapphire where I can get BIOS installation instructions? I have a picture of the motherboard. Thanks in advance.
Check if you can assist with the 690G chipset. Here’s the link to the documentation: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...psets/690g. I found a BIOS for the board, but don’t flash it unless you have a recovery method—since I can’t confirm the file without a board.
Also follow the instructions. BIOS/FLASH update process requires you to turn off the "Flash Part Write Protect" option in BIOS SETUP under PnP / PCI Configurations before using the Award Flash Utility. STEP 1. Get a DOS bootable disk. (Create one by clicking START, selecting RUN, choosing SYS A: and confirming.) STEP 2. Transfer the utility file to your DOS disk. You can copy it from DRIVER CD or download it online. STEP 3. Retrieve the newest BIOS from the website and save it to your DOS disk. STEP 4. Place the bootable disk into A: drive, power on the machine, and enter "Awdflash A:\ XXXX.BIN /SN/PY/CC/R" to flash the BIOS. BIN is the latest file name; don’t keep old settings. PY refreshes current data, CC clears CMOS info, R restarts the system. You can use AWDFLASH for this task. https://www.wimsbios.com/awardflasher.jsp
