I used to be able to handle very high performance, but now my graphics are struggling and I'm only getting about 60 frames per second consistently.

my graphics card is working well but my processor could be operating a bit too hot (around 88 degrees). Perhaps I should reapply some thermal paste?

Turn off V-Sync in the game... and also adjust the NVidia control panel global settings to disable it as well. Don't forget to remember initially...
