I modified my setup by adding two additional 8 GB RAM sticks and purchased the identical pair of my current Vengeance 16 GB 3200 MHz CL-16. However, when assembling everything, the system began looping during boot. Upon successful startup, it disabled the DOCP profile in the BIOS and settled at a frequency of 2133 MHz. Upon closer inspection, I discovered a discrepancy in die density—this new unit uses a different die than the previous one (8 GB vs. 4 GB, both B-die). Should I try resolving this issue or should I replace the newer components?
Show curiosity about the reported SPD/XMP information for both modules. Do you have screenshots from the CPU-Z SPD tab or Thaiphoon Burner alternative? I don't have details on density, but it seems this might relate to more frequent loading. Also, are you asking if the new kit performs well at higher speeds? What CPU and motherboard models are you using?
No, I didn't clear the CMOS before attempting to add sticks or enable XMP.
