Check your SSD using CrystalDiskInfo to review its condition. It may be failing, but unless you've been using resource-heavy apps, it's unlikely to be problematic after two years. My Latitude 5480 performed this test. It began with sporadic starts, then eventually would only boot into a black screen while the fan ran at full speed. Disconnecting the power or removing the battery didn't help. I used Dell's BIOS recovery tool to re-flash the BIOS from a USB drive, and everything has worked smoothly since. You can find your latest BIOS on the Dell support page by entering your laptop's service tag—it also confirms warranty status.
