Hello, I understand your situation with the Dell PowerEdge R620. After installing Ubuntu Server on a USB drive and rebooting, you're not seeing any bootable device. Let me know if you'd like guidance on troubleshooting or checking the necessary settings. Thanks for reaching out!

What RAID configuration is active? Is it connected to IT mode? Which interface type—SATA or SAS—is being used?

Check your RAID configurations and confirm they're correctly configured. The R620 includes a dedicated hardware RAID controller, so prepare your volumes before installing the operating system. To reach the RAID setup in UEFI systems, refer to Dell US documentation. Also, verify that the RAID volume containing Ubuntu is listed as a priority boot drive.

It's a PERC H310 Mini, unsure if it's been updated to IT Mode. I'm connecting SAS drives.

I suggest switching it to IT mode. This turns off all RAID features on the card, letting you just send the drives to the operating system. It simplifies things, especially with a filesystem like ZFS. https://fohdeesha.com/docs/perc.html

If you wish to proceed, simply power on the SAS drive configured as bootable.

Check the boot settings to locate the RAID card; it may not appear as a single drive.

I didn't make a virtual RAID volume. The Linux setup was placed somewhere else, and the bootloader used this week is probably GRUB.

I have a single disk configured for booting, though I haven’t set up a virtual RAID volume. It seems GRUB was installed correctly. The newest ISO was downloaded yesterday.

I've started Windows Server 2019, but the boot disk seems damaged. That cheap USB stick probably isn't working.
