The deities have struck me!
Hi Looking for some assistance as the might of the gods decided to rain down the wrath of water on my pc! Someone ( may have been me) forgot to close the window during the day and it decided to rain at night. I have dried out the pc now and can get the motherboard to turn on with all the fans etc but when I plug power into the graphic card the PSU shuts off. Trying to determine if the motherboard is causing the problem or the graphics card while being a cheap ass. I don't have access to another pc to try swapping. Can't see much damage to the gpu ( which was soaked) but can see marks on the motherboard see pic. Pc was in sleep mode at the time the gods attacked.
They begin by driving people insane, but it's unclear what exactly needs adjusting.
Given the level of visible damage, it seems the motherboard could be contributing to the short circuit. Inserting a card into its slot creates a complete path, and further corrosion might worsen the issue. Having a second GPU wouldn’t rule it out entirely, but there’s also a risk of damaging your existing GPU. I regret saying this, but you likely need a new motherboard.
Updated. Installed new motherboard. Still encounters issues right after connecting the GPUs. Likely the GPU is the problem. The power supply seems to work fine.
When the power source becomes damp, it's highly probable the problem lies there.
