The debug CPU indicator lights up unexpectedly and the system fails to start.
pc functioned properly for some time but now won't boot even after resetting the CMOS. The CPU debug light remains active. This issue occurred with my new mobo on an MSI Mortar Max; it worked briefly but then stopped booting unexpectedly. High humidity may cause static issues. The fix is to blow dry the PC.
discovered during high humidity like in the morning that my pc wouldn't boot and the cpu debug light was active. blowing dry it resolved the issue.
Consider using antistatic floor coverings close to your PC. They are available on Amazon.
Don't require an anti-static mat when the PC is properly grounded to earth. This is typically achieved using the third prong on the power cord.
i had an old mother board that functioned well for three years until i damaged it by updating. that's why i purchased the mortar max, though i'm unsure if it's defective but it seems to work in the shop. one night, after blow-drying, it stopped working. so i returned the b450 mortar max and replaced it with a biostar b450mx. everything is functioning properly now, possibly my mortar max is defective or sensitive to humidity and struggles with cold starts.
What could have shifted since the early days when everything seemed fine?
I question if moisture is the problem.
Check that your wall outlet is correctly grounded and the polarity matches.
A simple $10 tester can confirm this:

Many items from the shop will stop working right away if they’re faulty.
A failure after a short period is rare but possible.
the shop altered my mobo to biostar b450mx-s it functioned properly until recently
