The DDR3 memory stick isn't functioning properly.
Hello everyone! I recently purchased a DDR3 PC3-12800U-CL11 8GB 1600MHz stick from Aliexpress, marked as "FOR AMD." After checking forums, I found that these RAM modules are marketed for AMD systems. When I installed it, both my BIOS and CPU recognized it, but Windows didn't accept it or use it properly. I tried using it in dual-channel mode, but it still didn’t boot. The computer started up, but there was no video output and the MEMOK indicator lit red. I attempted to adjust the voltage settings to 1.5V and 1333MHz, but it didn’t work. I also tried setting the voltage to 1.35V as suggested by the stick’s manual. PC specs include an Intel i5-4670K without overclocking capability. I’ve also tried removing the CMOS battery for 10 minutes before powering it back on, and then setting the voltage again. Despite these efforts, the system remains unresponsive and shows no signs of working. It seems this RAM might be unsupported or defective.
Advanced density limits what Intel memory controllers can manage per chip.
